'Iran, Russia, China, Syria to launch biggest joint war game in Mideast'
An informed source has announced that Iran, Russia, China, and Syria plan to stage a joint war game in Syria in the near future, the Persian service of the Fars News Agency reported on Monday. 90,000 forces from the four countries will be involved in the war game, the informed source said.
No official from the countries has confirmed the news report, but a Syrian official, who spoke on conditional anonymity, announced that the joint war game will be launched in Syria. According to
Syria’s Arabic language ShamLife website the preparations are progressing at an “accelerated pace” and may well commence within the next month. ShamLife reported that a combined 90,000 troops from the four countries will participate in the strategic exercise along with an arsenol of 400 aircraft, 1,000 tanks and a large number of rockets. ShamLife also reports that China had gained Egyptian approval to permit 12 Chinese ships containing military equipment to pass through the Suez Canal, and that these vessels would reach the Syrian ports of Tartous and Latakia within the next two weeks' time.
Syria plans to do a test run on its Russian made air and coastal defenses during this unprecedented exercise apparently designed to call the UN-NATO bluff in Syria this summer. With these announcements being made synchronistically with President Obama's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the start of the G 20 Meetings in Los Cabos Mexico it's little wonder why Barack Hussein Obama looked like he had the wind knocked out of him in yesterday's Press Conference.
